|
Verified to work ok for:

New fixed version should now also work for:
- Bluesky DV2300: 12MB04/STi5519/AK4382A-1
This package finally brings the long awaited support for Vestel manufactured DVD
players with STi5508 chip! (it also supports STi5519 regardless).
The new update utility Vestel 1.0 alpha automatically detects the hardware
environment: chip:STi5508/STi5519, pcb:12MB03/12MB04, audio-DAC:cs4335/ak4382a/etc.,
audio-DAC-num:1/2/3, dvd-loader:ATAPI/embedded.
It then retrieves the suitable setup file, configures the right romimage file and
then programs the flash chip.
This is really a big advantage because it helps to keep you from accidently using the
wrong flash update files.

For 12MB04 only: If you want a proper tv picture during the update process, you also need to replace the
file autoboot.ab with the one that comes with this package:
|
Make sure you know exactly what type of DVD player you have got:
STi5519 chip and either 12MB03 or 12MB04 board. Have a look at the
sticontrol section
for details.
Let's assume that it's a STi5519+12MB04 Stereo Player
In this case, you should have downloaded these 3 files: TV-DVD-Update0303.zip, hws_12mb04_5519_stereo.zip, SEG-Nav4.1-5519-Atapi-2layer-Reg2.zip
Create a directory called tvdvd. Move the file TV-DVD-Update0303.zip into this directory and unpack it there.
Create another directory called set. Move the file hws_12mb04_5519_stereo.zip into this directory and unpack it there.
Create another directory called dvd4. Move the file SEG-Nav4.1-5519-Atapi-2layer-Reg2.zip into this directory and unpack it there.
Now go to the directory tvdvd and delete the two files autoboot.ab and hws.ab.
Then copy the file hws.ab from directory set to the directoy tvdvd.
And then copy the file autoboot.ab from the directory dvd4 to the directory tvdvd.
After that, you may delete the two directories set and dvd4.
The files in the directory tvdvd now present the proper collection of the firmware update.
You now may burn just those 4 files (and to improve readibility of the disc just add some ~50MB of junk data files, e.g. *.wav)
to a CD-R/-RW (ISO9660/Level1) and try the firmware update.
